Education: Foundational (Nursery to Class 2)
The issue that prevalent education system was founded by Macaulay with the intention to enslave Bharat is widely in discussion. However, everyone continues to follow the system with conviction. The prevailing teaching content and pedagogy, assessment procedures, cultural environment – all remains the same. As long as this continues, helplessly we will not be able to see a generation which is high in morale, proud of the Nation and skilled enough to lead the world. Therefore, we need a system that is rooted in Gurukul with a blend of modern needs but with a vision to command the future.
Prevalent Issues
The issue with the foundational stage is that we have nothing original in education. The whole Nation is engaged in learning ‘A for Apple’ and ‘Humpty Dumpty’, without realizing how negative, unorganized, irrelevant and meaningless the contents are. The goals are not defined. The focus is set by trends. Most of the Teachers undergo Montessori courses. Neither parents, nor Teachers are aware of how important this stage of life is for the children. There is no originality and innovation that has evolved since independence in this area.
What we offer
This stage is most suitable for developing positive emotions in children. At this stage, many negative emotions like anger, stubbornness, etc., can be corrected. Children learn hundreds of new words which can root them to their cultural values. This is the right time to seed Sanskar related vocabulary in children. Therefore, we call our five year foundational programme ‘Shishu Sanskar’.
Textbooks
We offer very unique textbooks which are rooted in Bharatiya culture and empower children with positive emotions. Rhymes are meaningful and value driven (music is available on YouTube). Contents are relevant and organized and develop a Sanskar of inquisitiveness in children.
